“Mandarin class with Yinxuan was a whole new level of fun. She often joked with us about how Chinese characters resemble familiar objects—for example, she said the character for "meat" looks like sausages hanging on a string. But the class wasn’t just about learning the language; Yinxuan also brought Chinese culture to life. One of our projects was to create a PowerPoint presentation on a Chinese city—mine was Beijing. I learned about its signature dishes and famous landmarks, while classmates explored cities like Hong Kong and Shanghai. Yinxuan would chime in with interesting stories and cultural insights about each place. One unforgettable moment was when we sang a Chinese New Year song together. It’s a memory I truly cherish. I hope you give it a chance—she’s not only a fantastic teacher in the classroom but also a genuinely fun and engaging person outside of it."
